When you buy a Lexmark inkjet, laser or multifunction printer for your business, it comes with an installation software CD. This CD contains drivers and utilities that enable the printer to work with your computer. If you misplaced the CD or if your printer didn't come with one, you can still download the installation software from the Lexmark website. Lexmark offers software for both new and discontinued printer models.

1.Navigate to the Lexmark Support & Downloads Web page (see Resources).
2.Click on the type of printer you own, such as 'Color Laser,' 'All-in-One Inkjet' or 'Multifunction Laser.'
3.Select your printer's model on the next page. If you don't know the model number, look for it in the instruction manual, on the printer's packaging or on the back of the machine itself.
4.Click the drop-down menu under Downloads and choose your operating system.
5.Click the 'Complete drivers and software' link under Drivers. If you have an older printer, the link may instead read 'Complete installation package.'
6.Click 'Download' and 'Save File.' When the download completes, double-click the file to begin setup.
Tip
- Some discontinued printers have installation software available only for older operating systems, such as Windows XP.

Printer Home can only be used with Lexmark laser printers that use the Lexmark XPS v4 print driver, available for download at http://md.lexmark.com/?func=support. Make sure you download and install the XPS v4 print driver for your printer model before installing Printer Home.
